Snowballs in Summer? Yes, we now have a recipe for Snowballs to try at home!
This recipe came to us from a local "Food Allergy Mom" here in the Tampa Bay area: Jennifer Murphy, a member of the Florida Food Allergy Council. I have used this great "Mom" knowledge base to understand how families deal with Food Restrictions on a daily basis. It is a great group of people that meet locally to support each other's knowledge and ongoing challenges.
Jennifer told me, " The snowball cookies have been a family tradition for as long as I can remember and I was glad to find a safe version my kids could enjoy".

This dessert is allergen free: dairy, nuts, egg, soy, gluten (with gf flour substitution) and even vegetarian.
Check it out and let me know how much your family enjoys it...
Don't forget that we would love to see recipes that you have created or even altered to fit your or your family's food restrictions.
Enjoy!

Happy April Fool's Week!
Strange to celebrate that, but I was actually born on April Fool's Day...hmmmm years ago. This, of course, makes it a very special holiday. I have actually made the month of April my Birthday Month! Try it yourself, if you can get your family to go along with it, I guarantee you won't be sorry!
Enough about me, we have added a wonderful new recipe this week from a new contributor, Larisa Balderrama. She is the founder of GlutenFreeChow.blogspot.com. She has been kind enough to share her Gluten Free Blueberry Muffin recipe. She has tons of other great recipes on her blog and we will make sure to bring you another one soon.

On the new products front, we have added more items for some existing companies, and added new vendors to our store as well. Xylichew is a new manufacturer in our offering. One of these is Xylichew Fruit Gum, which is free from Dairy, Lactose, Egg, Yeast..and Cholesterol. Gum that isn't bad for you! NuGo Free brings us more of their good bars, Vegan, Kosher and free from Gluten, Wheat, Dairy, Lactose, Egg, Yeast and that bad word..Cholesterol. Check out their new Carrot Cake Bar.
As always, this is just a small example of all the products we are adding weekly. Take a browse through the "Allergy Free Food" store for more!
Have fun on April Fool's Day...and watch those prankster friends of yours!

Another week....and lot's more products added to our shelves. We have stocked up on more bars from PranaBar and Boomi Bar. A new company to our offering is Thai Pavillion, microwaveable meals for those of you on the go..which is probably all of you! Another new company brings some GF, Organic and Kosher bars to the store, Raw Revolution. We are adding many more, too many to mention, but I will try to keep you posted regularly. I know many of you have contacting me about new product notices...so stay tuned to the blog and we will try to keep up!
New this week as well is a great new recipe from Dawn Viola at www.wickedgooddinner.blogspot.com. Her contribution is a Peanut, Soy and Gluten free Mac & Cheese dish. You have to try this one - Macaroni and Cheese with Champagne and Pancetta. Let me know how you like it.
Our monthly newsletter will be out in a couple of weeks...and we will have some exciting news about a new feature to the website...a special addition for all our Gluten-Free Friends! More to come......
