Who is this you ask?!
This is Dr. Stephen Wangen, founder of IBS Treatment Center and Center for Food Allergies in Seattle.
Dr. Wangen is joining forces with us to help you find answers to your questions on a range of subjects. He will answer your postings regarding Food Allergies, Gluten Intolerances, IBS, Celiac Disease or any digestive disorder you are dealing with today. Our new "Ask the Doctor" section of the website is up this week and ready to collect your questions and comments. For our inaugural first month, we will be collecting your questions through May 15th and then post Dr. Wangen's answers the last week of the month.
Join us in welcoming Dr. Wangen to our group and please feel free to send us your questions...don't forget to check back for the answers too!
Have a great week!

Happy New Year Everyone! I am glad all the holidays are over and we can concentrate on making this a productive year. I mentioned the "Allergy-Free" Recipe Contest last week and we are getting some great recipes...keep them coming. I can see it will be hard for my judges to only pick three!
I was reviewing some of the wonderful non-profit websites this week for new information and found that The Celiac Sprue Association has dedicated a portion of their website for kids with Celiac Disease. It is really a nice compilation of information and games for the kids, with plenty of information for their parents. I wrote an article that was released this week in Examiner " Celiac Kids Now Have Support".
We added two new recipes to the website this week as well...both desserts!
Check out Bananas Foster Cake by Alisa Fleming from GoDairyFree.org.
And the Easy Fruit Cobbler by Jean Duane at www.alternativecook.com.

Here's hoping you all stay warm this weekend. It's even cold in Florida, can you believe it?!
Have a fantastic weekend.

Our Opening Day for Allergiesandme.com online store is fast approaching! We are working hard to bring our customers some great products. We have found the most highly requested items through extensive market research for the store opening and will continue to add more outstanding items over the coming weeks.
Once our "doors are open" for business, we will be striving to build our network of non-profit organization affiliations to help them, help all of you. Our goal to "give back" will be accomplished through pledging our volunteer time and a significant portion of our sales profits to organizations like FAAN, Kids with Food Allergies and Celiac Sprue.
Keep watching our Featured Articles for progress in this area.
Behind the scenes, we are also working to create some new and exciting products through another not-for-profit group...more information on that to come!
The Team at Allergiesandme.com is looking forward to providing a positive shopping experience, as well as, a resource to assist you in your daily struggles to stay healthy with food allergies and food intolerances.
